About Us

Life and Minds is the website of the Canadian Dementia Knowledge Translation Network, or CDKTN. This site is intended as a resource for current research, news, events and information about dementia.The CDKTN is a national network for knowledge translation (KT) and exchange (KE) of research in Alzheimer's disease and dementia.KT is the adaptation of research findings into effective treatments, services and products.KE is collaborative information sharing and problem solving between researchers, caregivers and policy makers.CDKTN was funded as part of a five year grant form the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR). Its National Office is centred at Geriatric Medicine Resarch (Dalhousie Univeristy/Captial Health) in Halifax Nova Scotia. 
Our network has four main themes:

Education and Training in KT

The Canadian Dementia Resource and Knowledge Exchange
